Astrid McGechan: Wensleydale

The sun was setting in Wensleydale and painted the landscape with its barns and dry stone walls in a golden light. This photograph was taken from the slightly elevated roadside. I feel the hazy light gives the image a three-dimensional feel, almost as if I can stretch out my hand and find myself in the valley itself.
